Intended audience: Individuals who deal with special education funding at the LEA and have a basic knowledge of IDEA's maintenance of effort requirements.
This webinar is a joint effort between DPI's Special Education and School Financial Services teams. The training will focus on analyzing the Fund 27 data submitted through the 1504 budget and 1505 annual reports to assist LEAs in making sure they are meeting the MOE requirements.
This webinar is for you if you have any of the following questions:
1) I thought we were lowering our special education maintenance of effort, so why does the MOE eligibility report show that we are increasing MOE?
2) What funds am I supposed to move over to the federal grant in order to lower our maintenance of effort?
3) It looks like we are increasing our state and local costs, but slashing our Fund 10 to Fund 27 transfer. Is this possible?
4) I budgeted for the "freed-up funds" in Fund 10, so where does that show up on the MOE eligibility report?
This webinar is presented by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's Special Education Team.
