Intended audience: Individuals who work with an LEA’s IDEA Maintenance of Effort (MOE)

DPI has developed an easy to understand IDEA Maintenance of Effort (MOE) report that displays your LEA's data submitted through the 1505 Special Education Annual and the 1504 Special Education Budget reports.

The MOE Eligibility report demonstrates the four tests that are conducted to determine whether an LEA has met IDEA MOE eligibility. The report includes a scenario calculator so that the LEA may adjust budget numbers to determine if different actions will keep an LEA in compliance with IDEA MOE requirements.

This webinar will provide step-by-step guidance of the MOE Eligibility report, explaining how the calculations are done and what data is being used. The guidance will be based on the technical assistance available at http://sped.dpi.wi.gov/files/sped/pdf/moe-eligibility-report-ta.pdf.
