Common Core State Standards
While significant training and professional development opportunities have been happening since the adoption of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for English Language Arts and mathematics, special educators have not always had the opportunity to participate.  When the CCSS were adopted, they were adopted as the standards for ALL students including students with disabilities.  It is imperative that special educators have a thorough understanding of the CCSS and how these new standards impact our instructional practices.
