Coordinated Early Intervening Services (CEIS)

Thursday, April 10, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. (rescheduled from Monday, April 7)

This session will provide an overview of a flexible funding option available under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act: Coordinated Early Intervention Services (CEIS) Under the CEIS option, all districts that receive an IDEA allocation are allowed to use a portion of their grant to fund academic or behavioral interventions for students without disabilities. This session will review how to determine the amounts that may be set-aside, how it is budgeted and accounted for, and how the funds may be spent. The presenters will walk-through the narrative application and the data collection that is required with the use of CEIS funds.
